I Am Because We Are is more than a brand — it’s a tribute, a community, and a call to live with intention.

Born from the sudden and far too early loss of a beloved friend, this brand was created to honour a soul who embodied compassion, purpose, and unwavering love. She was a heart-centered human, a passionate environmentalist, and a devoted, proud mother. Her life radiated kindness and conviction — and her spirit continues to guide every step of this journey.

The name I Am Because We Are speaks to the deep interconnectedness we share with one another and with the Earth. It’s rooted in the African philosophy of Ubuntu, which reminds us that our humanity is tied to the humanity of others. In her memory, we carry that message forward.

To honour her legacy in action, we commit to giving back in two meaningful ways:

• 10% of all proceeds go directly to her son’s trust fund, helping to support the future she dreamed of for him.

• 10% of proceeds are also donated to Forests Canada’s 50 Million Tree Program, continuing her work as an environmental steward and contributing to a greener, healthier world.

Every item we create is designed with heart and purpose — a reminder that we belong to each other, and that one life can leave ripples of hope far beyond its years.
